An incredible opportunity exits for 10 BC high school students who are blind or visually impaired to attend a unique week of learning about marine science in Bamfield, BC. Students will spend 5 days immersed in marine science classes, lectures and participate in fieldwork. Tailored specifically for their preferred learning modalities, students will have hands-on opportunities to learn about ecology, biology, chemistry and morphology of West Coast marine life by using touch pools, participating in real-life field work such as dredging and collecting ocean samples, and analyzing the functional interrelationships of organisms in the ecosystem through hands-on and fully accessible labs.
